A Quick Forward

  • by

When we first started this project I quickly became an avid fan of the various USVI building blogs.  As we were considering building a Deltec house I searched for those as well.  It quickly became apparent that either I’m a really bad google searcher or there just aren’t a lot of blogs about building Deltec homes.  So being the helpful person I am I decided then to make one.  That was 4 years ago as of this writing in February 2018.  One thing that was frustrating about reading building blogs is that sometimes you find a really good one, get hooked on it, and then NOTHING happens for months.  Of course it’s the nature of the building process, especially in the US Virgin Islands.  So Dear Reader, to spare you that frustration, I’ve not gone live with the site until we reached the action packed part of the game.  The first 20 or so posts were written well after the event, eventually I’ll catch up and let you know when the action is “live”.  As the site matures you will notice some ads, please click on them often.  And when I put up a link to a tool or something else I found helpful, please buy that tool!  I’ve got to get my $250 I paid WordPress back somehow.  Here we go!

A Quick Forward

This blog is about building a small house in the US Virgin Islands, in particular a 650 sq foot 10 sided Deltec prefab house.  As we started on this project I became an avid reader of all the blogs I could find about building in the USVI.  There are quite a few and some are goldmines of information.  I also searched for blogs about building a Deltec house.  Either I’m a really bad google searcher or there just aren’t that many blogs about building Deltec houses.  Being the helpful person I am, I decided to make one.  One thing that frustrates me about building blogs is that you find a good one, get hooked on it, and then NOTHING happens for months.  Of course it’s the nature of building projects, especially in the USVI as you will find out.  Dear Reader, to keep you from having to deal with that frustration I waited until we got to the action packed phase of our project to go live with this site.  We started this project four years ago at the time of this writing in February 2018.  The first 20 or so posts you see were written well after the event.  Eventually I’ll catch up to the present and let you know that we are now “live”.  As the site matures you will begin to see Ads and links popping up, please click on them often and repeatedly.  I have to get my $250 back that I paid to Worldpress somehow.
